Profile
Dr. Xiang is an accomplished interventional radiologist currently practising at Liverpool Hospital, Concord Hospital, and Spectrum Interventional Radiology in Australia. He completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with an MBBS (Hons II) in 2011 and receiving the prestigious GR Cameron Memorial prize for excellence in pathology.
After completing his internship and residency at Nepean Hospital, Dr. Xiang pursued radiology training at Concord Hospital, which he completed in 2019. He then undertook a fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, from 2019-2020.
In 2023, Dr. Xiang achieved a significant milestone by completing the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) examination with distinction, placing him among the top two candidates worldwide.
With a strong commitment to research and advancing the field of interventional radiology, Dr. Xiang has published over 100 papers to date. His areas of interest include:

Radial artery access for advanced endovascular interventions, particularly in uterine fibroid embolisation and prostate artery embolisation

Interventional oncology procedures treating liver and renal tumours using techniques such as TACE, SIRT, microwave ablation, and cryoablation

Advanced IR pain therapies, including complex nerve blocks, chemical neurolysis, RFA, and cryoneurolysis

Spinal interventions, including all spinal injections, medial branch block/RFA, and vertebroplasty

Advanced vascular imaging, including 4D dynamic CTA for endoleak and AVM assessment, and MRA/MRV for complex vascular conditions
